SCHOOL CROSSING GUARD

The City of Staunton Police Department is seeking applicants for School Crossing Guards to direct pedestrian and vehicle traffic at specified school crossings ensuring the safety of children. Basic knowledge of traffic laws and ordinances pertaining to school areas, safety and first aid procedures, ability to communicate effectively with the public, react appropriately in emergency situations, and positively represent the City required. Successful candidate will be subject to appropriate background checks. Works school days (1.5 hours in the morning, 1.5 hours in the afternoon). Hourly rate= $14.78/hr.

Uniform provided.
